I am a historian at the Kentucky Historical Society. My areas of specialization are southern and environmental history. My dissertation focused on the evolution of the Inner Bluegrass landscape of Central Kentucky, and I’ve written and spoken on a variety of topics related to early Kentucky from hemp to livestock.
I currently work as Community Engagement Coordinator at the Historical Society in Frankfort and previously served as the Book Review Editor for the Register. I also taught at the University of Kentucky and Centre College while completing my graduate work.
